Centralized Intelligence for Efficient Number Range Management
Number Range 360 is a comprehensive database that helps Communication Service Providers (CSPs) operate at peak efficiency. The information delivers a complete, accurate and unified view of North American Numbering Plan (NANP) resources, including all active and future-effective number ranges. The numbering data contains the Numbering Plan Area (NPA) codes, Central Office/Exchange (NXX) codes (prefix) and assigned thousands-blocks records. It also provides visibility into upcoming new number range assignments, modifications, and disconnects of number block ranges, enabling CSPs to proactively manage numbering resources. This same number range intelligence also supports enterprises by validating assigned and active number ranges and information to strengthen fraud mitigation efforts and improve outbound contact and operational efficiency. By consolidating this critical number range information, Number Range 360 supports streamlined internal operations, optimized processes, and more reliable database management.
There are more than 250,000 active (in service) Central Office (CO) Code records and over 1.3 million assigned thousands-blocks. Number Range 360 lists all up-to-date number range assignments that are active and future-effective. In the NANP, number ranges are primarily assigned in thousands-block ranges. When this type of assignment occurs, Number Range 360 data includes the assigned CSP/Operating Company Number (OCN), the type of service that the range has been dedicated to (e.g., wireline, wireless), along with the associated rate center and the corresponding rate center state/province/country.

Number Range 360 is a web-based platform that provides full access to number range data through a GUI and features an API to automate data extraction. Customers can search, filter and generate customizable reports or scheduled outputs, with query results delivered as CSV files and custom reports available as fixed-width ASCII flat text files for offline use or system integration. A general information section also helps users understand the structure and meaning of the data in greater detail. In addition to number range data, users can also easily translate OCNs to their corresponding CSP name, as officially registered with the National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA).

Number Range 360 also includes a portability indicator that shows that at least one line number in the number range (NPA NXX BLOCK) may be ported. This is critically important since CSPs are regulated in the United States by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and/or individual state regulatory commissions, and in Canada by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), to participate in telephone number portability. Please note that Number Range 360 does not provide line-level data, subscriber identification or the assigned OCN for a ported telephone number. For information on the current OCN of a number range or ported telephone number, CSPs can consult with the Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC) and enterprises can reference TRA Telemarketing Data Source (TDS) to identify which specific telephone numbers have been ported from particular thousands-block ranges along with the associated line type (i.e., landline, wireless).
The Number Range 360 activity view includes telephone number range data associated with future-effective activity reported by CSPs (covering upcoming months), as well as last-minute changes made in the prior period. The primary activity data includes an activity code associated with each telephone number range and its data (E = establish, M = modify, D = disconnect), plus the target effective date for that activity.
